A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

Cloverfield 2 a possibility??

The possibility of a Cloverfield sequel has had genre fans foaming at the mouth since the day the original crashed into theaters. While promoting Let Me In at Comic-Con, Matt Reeves let a few choice words slip about Cloverfield 2.

"Cloverfield 2 is on hold for now," says Reeves. "J.J. [Abrams] is very involved with Super 8 and I've been doing Let Me In, so we have shelved it until we can get the team from the first back together."

So all is not lost on the Cloverfield front. Just don't expect it any time soon.....

Polanski Free After Swiss Refuse Extradition

Roman Polanski is a free man - officials in Switzerland have thrown out a request to extradite him to the U.S. for sentencing on a child-sex charge.

The Pianist director has been under house arrest at a luxury chalet in Gstaad since he was seized in Zurich last September en route to a film festival.

U.S. authorities demanded the film-maker be returned to the States to face sentencing for having sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977. He pleaded guilty to the offence but fled to Europe in 1978 before facing a court.

But Swiss officials announced on Monday that the extradition has now been turned down - because they cannot rule out the possibility that there is a "fault" in the request.

In a statement, a spokesman for the Swiss Justice Ministry says, "The reason for the decision lies in the fact that it was not possible to exclude with the necessary certainty a fault in the U.S. extraditionary (sic) request."

Polanski is expected to return to his family home in France.

Men In Black III

Men In Black III has been a long time coming, but we can finally expect it to crash land on our screens on 25 May, 2012. Now, JoBlo have gathered together a time capsule of information about the alien threequel, which reveals plot details, potential celebrity alien cameos, and the nature of the new villain.

Leonardo DiCaprio - Wolf Of Wall Street

DiCaprio has been attached to the film for some time, with his favourite director previously Martin Scorsese attached to direct it. But when production on the adaptation stalled, the duo went off and made Shutter Island instead. Now it seems it’s Ridley Scott to the rescue, as he’s in talks to jump into the directing chair.

Wolf Of Wall Street, adapted from the script of Jordan Belfort’s 2008 memoirs, follows ill-fated genius (Jordan Belfort) who in the ‘90s became one of the most famous American financiers.

A stock-chopper with connections to the mob, he made a thousand dollars every minute, and lived a life stuffed with drugs and sex. Colourful events include a binge that ended up sinking a massive motor yacht, the crashing of a Gulfstream jet, and a $700,000 hotel bill.

In other words, just the kind of role you’d expect DiCaprio to be interested in.

New James Bond Film Gets Canceled

All development on the next James Bond film has been canceled as MGM continues to deal with its financial problems.

This news shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone who has been following MGM’s ongoing troubles. In April, we learned that production on the film was delayed indefinitely.

Still, just because we all saw it coming doesn’t make it sting any less. With Sam Mendes signed on to direct and a story from the mind of screenwriter Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon, The Queen), the latest Bond film was shaping up to be one of the franchise’s best. After the kind of disappointing Quantum of Solace, I was very excited to see how Daniel Craig would fare in his third outing as 007.
